Under The Microscope is a kilnformed glass art plate inspired by the Italian Memphis Design Style of 1980s Milan. Pieces of sheet glass are cut and assembled before being fired in an electric kiln to fuse them together. The fused glass art object is then coldworked, sandblasted, and slumped to achieve a soft matte finish.
